Who we are
TextMCP is a service that lets a person send and receive SMS text messages from their own phone number through an AI assistant they control. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Questions? Email support@textmcp.com.
Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, postal address and mobile phone number. We need these to verify your identity with our messaging carrier partners, as US regulations require.
Messaging data: the phone numbers you text with, the content and timestamps of messages sent or received through your TextMCP number, and delivery status.
Billing information: payment card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic usage logs used to keep the service secure.
How we use your information
To deliver the service: sending and receiving your texts, showing your history, and connecting your AI assistant to your number.
To verify your identity and register your number with mobile carriers, as US A2P 10DLC rules require.
To bill you, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and comply with the law.
Mobile information and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We never send you marketing text messages. The only texts we send to your mobile number are those needed to verify your account.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any TextMCP verification message to opt out, or HELP for help.
Who we share information with
Twilio, our messaging provider, which transmits your texts and handles carrier registration.
Stripe, our payment processor.
Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account and message data.
Law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and message history for as long as your account is open. When you close your account we delete your message history and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, legal or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices
You can view and export your message history at any time from your account, delete individual numbers, or close your account entirely. To request a copy or deletion of your data, email support@textmcp.com.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
TextMCP is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date below. Continuing to use TextMCP means you accept the updated policy.
