Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
The service
TextMCP gives you a phone number you can text from, and lets an AI assistant you control send and receive messages on that number on your behalf. You are the sender of every message and you are responsible for what is sent.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate identity details. US carriers require us to verify your name, address and mobile number before your number can send messages. Keep your password and API keys private; anything sent with them counts as sent by you.
Messaging rules and consent
TextMCP is for personal, conversational, one-to-one messaging. You may only message people who already know you or who texted you first.
No marketing, no bulk or automated blasts, no political, charitable-solicitation or lead-generation messaging, and nothing in the carrier-prohibited categories (cannabis, illegal substances, firearms, gambling, high-risk lending, debt collection, get-rich-quick offers, hate or violent content).
You must honor opt-outs. If someone replies STOP, we block further messages to them from your number automatically, and you must not attempt to get around that.
Message and data rates may apply to you and to the people you text. Message frequency varies and is entirely determined by your own conversations.
Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time.
Pricing and billing
TextMCP costs $5 per month for each phone number, plus $0.025 for each text sent or received, drawn from prepaid credits. New accounts get 100 starter credits.
Charges are billed through Stripe. Monthly fees are non-refundable, and unused credits stay on your account but have no cash value.
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling releases your phone number, and the number cannot be recovered afterwards.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, gets reported for spam, triggers carrier violations, or has unpaid charges. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.
Availability and liability
TextMCP depends on mobile carriers and third-party providers, so we cannot guarantee that every message is delivered or that the service is always available. The service is provided "as is".
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current version always lives on this page. Continuing to use TextMCP means you accept the update.
